Our Team

Dieter Adam is a Professor at Kiel University, Germany. He received his Ph.D. from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany, followed by postdoctoral training at the Max-Planck-Institute, Martinsried, Germany, the Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Princeton, New Jersey, USA, and the Technical University of Munich, Germany. His research focuses on the biology and signaling pathways of death receptors and sphingolipids, with a particular interest in the physiological and pathophysiological effects of the receptors for TNF and TRAIL as well as the lipid second messenger ceramide.
